A worry night and day, will I in time, till end of time, all together stay.

Poem Artwork

It rocked me in my sleep, it did,
Two thirty in the morn,
As if a bomb the house has hit,
And had apart me torn,

Then, with senses wide awake,
I, a moment had to think,
Curiosity, a hold did take,
To find out what that stink,

For still it was, still night outside,
Fresh air, no thunder clap,
Just a sea of starlight bright,
I thought, what is this crap?

The sheets I turned, as I was turning,
No timbers strewn across the lawn,
Perplexed, and thoughts discerning,
With these, I wrestled until dawn,

My God I thought, what dream was this,
Strange thoughts ran through my head,
Found in my dreams some bliss,
Relived myself in bed?

Soon relieved of any doubt,
I heard a cursing up above,
Get out of bed, I heard her shout,
As if a crack of thundercloud,

Such nightmares often now occur,
It’s worrisome to say the least,
The sense of my control does blur,
That separates a man from beast,

Let me not, I pray each night,
Fall prey to dreams as such,
To loose it all, would give me fright,
With all my senses stay in touch,©15/04/2011

I rarely have nightmares (not like when I was a child) and I surely do not miss them. Thanks for sharing the experience, Jasmin. Love and peace,

Regis

A glass of wine two hours before retiring should ease the nasty dreams my dear friend. Not the relieving of yourself in bed mind you. Just the bad dreams. If not try two glasses. If that does not help, try three glasses. You get the idea. I bid you love and peace. Jon Michael
