Life can be tough sometimes, If only, we can just think positive, and love ourselves...

"If Only"

Rushing through the crowded street
I sensed a change in the atmosphere
I was breathing heavier,
and my head was feeling light.

It was the middle of the day
and as hot as a boiling pot.
I wished that I could turn down the heat,
but it was not an option at this time.

My world was closing in on me
and my life was becoming unbearable,
If Only I could sell my idea
If only I could win the lottery,

If only? how can I say, If only,
No living with regrets, or remorse,
If only does not belong in my vocabulary
Only "I can!" shall be in my heart.

If Only you knew you can,
then you would only,
do as you can,
and live as if there were no tomorrows, if only....

author's notes:

Never live with regrets, always think positive that "You Can" and live as if today was your last day on earth...If only we would!

good poem-I try not to live my life with " if Only " but try to be thankful for all that I have learned and all that presently comes across my path
