Wise words of wisdom which are so true!...Great write Amber!...M

When i was a schoolboy we were taught this little rhyme:

Patience is a virtue
Possess it if you can
It's seldom in a woman
And never in a man.

Life is a lot more work than they let on when you're a kid. Funny how anxious we are to grow up, too. Very ironic. This poem is uplifting, Amber. Nicely penned!

Well, now I understand why it is that "One-night-stands" never go any place but to bed. But, of course, in those situations, bed was the only object in the beginning.

I've been around longer than 99% of AD members/readers, and my experience leads me to say that there's no substitute for the "test of time." However, one cannot sit back and not paddle and expect their lifeboat to move. The honey bee goes feeding on the flower only when the flower keeps its aroma wafting in the wind. And that's where your nurturing "with tender loving care" comes in.

At first, the promise is only a suggestion, but with time and interest and a gradually more credible promise, the natural rhythm of the universe leads you into bed, closet, home and a loving relationship that lasts.

It took me over much longer than I originally imagined to develop one certain one-night-stand, but it's lasted 63 years. So "Natural Rhythm" and Patience does, indeed, seem like very good advice.

Of course, "Quickies" have their virtue, too, don't you think?
