A night at its darkest before the dawn
A young wife still asleep under the covers
A young husband startled awake beside her
Glass in windows and doors are rattling
Lampshades are a dancing atop lamps a swaying
“Wha’ the” he mutters,
The still sleeping wife reaches over
Pats him on the shoulder
“It’s okay honey. I set the alarm clock to vibrate
An earthquake in North Alabama
Felt all the way to East Atlanta
Five point O on the Richter scale
But it is okay
It is only the alarm set to vibrate
