Almost a year, out of work
A change is in store
Three weeks of school
The man on the phone states
Your record is so clean
I can eat off it.
Next week Greyhound will take me
Off to Springfield Missouri
On the next phase of my life
A change in job description
Over the road driving
One side of the country to the other
Out of the South I’m finally going
Mountains with snow, I’ll get to see
What is around the next bend I’ll know
What is over the next hill well I’ll be!
Driving across this great country
Eighteen wheels and a southern drawl

I am so freekin' thrilled for YOU! You have no idea! I will be living through your journeys' and excitement vicariously! I have my C.D.L. and (only in my dreams) do I see me driving a Rig! Better $$$ More BEnefits, the comraderie with men ( I even spoke to Paul about it) but, I don't want LONG runs, for days! no weekends and that is what some expect ( I looked into it) I wish you such happiness, and SAFETY! You rig drivers ( well maybe not you) but they do, they talk on their cordless phones and that freeks me out too!
