I like zoos, I was raised by wildlife handlers till the age of twelve....I'm such an animal, but I need a lap now and again...

awe..this is precious...i too have mismatched feelings of the zoo...zoo's allowed me to see so many animals I never would have, and I know many natural habitats are no longer able to support wild life so it's good that zoo's provide existance to keep these species alive

I like zoos. How we got global warming in this peom I'll never know. Maybe the zoo caused it. Jeez!!!

Becca your ku definately says so much about the wildlife on this planet and how we as a race should be looking after them not abusing and depleting them to extinction as we have been doing for so many years. Well said...

I, too, don't care much for zoos...but it may be the last place to see animals, if we don't stop the wanton killing of species. Excellent thought provoker, poignantly penned.

This sparked many thoughts - how we ignore Mother Nature [global warming], care for and love your children, parents, husband/wife, friends, etc, be respectful of all that crosses our path, and in all we do love one another. This poem is one for my library.
