Cup ah, cup of, cup
also known as "joe"
long distance relative
of demitasse and cappucino,
as you may know..
What is it about this drink?
sweet black, lite or ,no sugar,
I swear it makes me think
or keep me up all night,
instead of seeing a shrink?.
I love mine hot, warm or cold
Winter or Summertime.
It gives me pause
to catch my thoughts,
when it seems my screws are loose,
Thoughts are warped & life distraught,
seeking that adrenalin juice,
I feel this urgent craving coming on.
My daily life is fuzzy,
and I am losing my mind,
There I sit with my cup of Java
and my life rebounds sublime..
Complacent- almost normal
is how my day will go,
and then I look upon my computer
it seems the PC has a language
built around a cup of joe .
Java Java Java - "un taz du cafe"
I love mine Hazelnut,Amaretto,
served with biscotti ala carte,
Whether I'm brunching,
or Sunday dining on a Lobster tart.
Even Starbucks thinks ,
there is an art to brewing you.
The queued lines I've had to withstand,
just to get my hands on you!
No matter what the reason,
time of day,'cause for jubiliation
or the Season..
I love my cappucino..addicted,
yes it's true ..
Could not complete this poem,
without my fill of you.

*******
Join me in a cup. =)

Mmmmmmm :0)!... My loving relationship is with a black panther of a coffee blend (robusta, colombia, San Tomé and a touch of arabica for aroma), stirred with a cinnamon stick, but in fact, I enjoy anything - drink, dessert, sweets - that tastes of coffee very much indeed. Delightful write, mi Amiga, and that grumpy fluffy cat is just to die for (there was a cat who used to "own" me in the past. Her name was... Cafeína ^x^ lol! )

A true love poem. I am a bit more inclined to taking my caffein via (double) soy lattes, but the effect and venue is still the same.

I'm not a coffee drinker myself. But even the simplest thing like a cup of coffee can be a poem. Again you use the rap element. Both techniques work for you well.

Hey, nice job! There's no better over-the-counter addiction that I know. And I've got a lot of screws that need tightening.

Being a coffee drinker year round I enjoyed the smell of freshly ground coffee beans as I read your words. I like mine hot with cream and sugar. Care to share a cup with me? (_)?

Oh this is wonderful.
I would have to argue that sex beats a cup of coffee by a very wide margin.
However, coffee you can really depend on getting some, and getting it your way.
Wonderful poem.
