Oh that Rascal...but a sweet one at that!

O’Malley Was Nowhere to be Seen

As O’Dessa was walking down the aisle, her eyes scanned ahead.
Trying to get a glimpse of O’Malley with her feet feeling like lead.
For O’Malley was nowhere to be seen, she felt sickened to the core.
And never missed a beat as she walked past the altar through the back door.

Her veil blew in the breeze as she stepped up her rapid pace.
And finally arrived home with tears streaming down her sad face.
She didn’t notice her missing appliances or even the missing knobs.
She didn’t notice her brass bed was gone as her cries became loud sobs.

As she gazed out the back window, she saw a pile of chipped gold rocks.
And knew instantly, that she really deserved exactly what she got.
I should have told O’Malley the truth but I was so afraid.
And I will have to live with the consequences my decisions have made.

Exhausted and spent, she curled up in a ball and fell fast asleep.
She was spiraling down into a hole that was very, very deep.
A Little Green Leprechaun stood at the bottom and welcomed her there.
He looked so much like her O’Malley from the toes to the wild red hair.

A loud crash had occurred and O’Dessa  awoke in a flash but confused.
She heard her name beckoning her, why not, what do I have to lose?
She followed the ear-piercing voice through the house to the back.
Where O’Malley stood on top of the rocks, like he was stuck in a crack.

Her knees went weak but it wasn’t because of him holding a white flag.
It was because of the preacher beside him all shackled and gagged.
In front of them stood a huge sign that said, “This gold may be fake.”
“But these rocks found the true love of this lovesick rake.”

“Will you marry me O’Dessa, for you are the true treasure I found?”
“And I will love you forever, with no need of gold underground.”

THE END

YEAH! A wonderful ending to a delightful tale!
And in the end we see that the love birds both have hearts of gold...just like their creator/author.

Ah, you're a storyteller in verse, a novelist in rhyme. You have taken O'Malley on journeys awful and sublime.

The only one that will get trouble is Jersey Devil Ed going about arousing the "weak" sex Valkyries, O'Malley came to his senses just in time, because there is not fury like a scorned maiden.
