Touch me gently I bruise with ease I’m as fragile as an infant Taking my first tentative steps Steps in your direction I readily admit But with hesitation Not sure of your intent I waver for a moment On the brink of all you offer Before I fall into your arms And beg Touch me gently My love is in your hands I bruise so very easily And take so long to heal
