Always had dogs, but cats own some of my friends. Some are snobs, but others are right friendly. {Didn't hear right used that way when I was growing up in Illinois. Southernism, riiiiiight?}

What? You’ve never heard of a kitty-nap?
Bird-watching has moi worn to a frazzle!
Loud-mouths got the nerve to laugh
At “little." Hell-OOOOO
Prrrrrrrr. Feels so good in the shade.
Just close my eyes for a minute or so.
Mmmmm. Tuna fish, yumyu--. . .Hey!
Don’t stop, Dream. I’m not through!
Sure will be glad when I get big.
Featherbrains won’t laugh at me then!
Fool ‘em by wearing my human’s wig.
Roll in Ma Wren’s nest, won’t know me.
Prrrrrrrrrrrr. . .is that a growl I hear?
Holy Catnip, it’s that terror of a terrier
I beat the livin’ socks off. Oh, dear.
Play dead! Play dead! Shhhhhhhh.
Lie veeeeeery still, hammock won’t swing.
Lucky for me, mutt’s got the attention span
Of a flea. Barker’s collar's covered in bling.
Makes it a snap to tell if. . he's gone. Pfew!
One more li’l nappy-poo, be good to go.
Got yarn to tangle, got a post to scratch.
Maybe I’ll dream again, and if so,
maybe there’ll be salmon this time. MeYOW.

You really had me on the level of the kitten, but I just couldn't help laughing ... I think I may have gotten us caught by the terrier! OMG! rrrRRRUUUNNNnnn! Very funny and excellently descriptive in every way, Phyllis. Thank you.
In the language of psychiatrists and other "head" professionals, the word perseveration often denotes a flight of ideas. And now with your "Can be Good for a Cat to be Little," I understand such mental streaming is not restricted to humankind.
Thanks to you, Phyllis, I don't think I'll ever look at a cat or kitten in the same way, again.
And I just love your picture of the snoozing cat in the hammock!
A naïve councilman and a down-on-her-luck single mom try to save their county’s last stand of forest from greedy developers and a dysfunctional government.
Homer's Ill Iliad & Odd Sea Odyssey (420 pages) is an adult satire/parody rewrite of the classic stories of the 10 year Trojan War and of the 10 year adventure of Odysseus trying to return home to his native Ithaca.
