I cry in the nite
my soul won't rest
I've tried to do
my very best.
A little note and
she was gone
Many years since
shes been home.
Three kids to raise
no help in sight
No one hears my
cries at night.
I try to teach you
right from wrong..
That sometimes life
is not a song.
To work for what you
want in life
Among the struggles
and the strife.
I try to teach you
to love not hate
To believe in yourself..
not always in fate.
As you've alll grown older
I look back and see
Proudly you are a
reflection of me
Tall and with dignity
you all stand
Brings a tear to this
tender man.
Alone I have raised you
in tears I have cried
I love you my childen
How hard I have tried!
