I've never understood why any 'man' should choose to abuse his wife in this way or vice-versa (and that DOES happen). Painful write but well written Linda
Why doesnt the person who is abused understand that it will never stop. Is their love that great that they may die because of abuse.
I have seen it many times, I am sure we all have. Your words say it like always, I love him and no one else understands.
Linda, this is such a powerful poem, that cries for justice to be done...a calling for those who have been down this road...to help others avoid the same thing...it is such a sad thing to see a look like the one pictured above on such a pretty face...this was beautifully written.

thank God, thank God, i'm not in that anymore--my ex hit me once, i hit him right back and told him, "i told you once, you s.o.b., you ever raise your hand to me in anger i'd knock the **** outta you" and i did :) he never hit me again--once was enough
now if i could have only learned to leave the verbal abuse behind--that hurts worse, i think
scars and physical blows heal over time, but scars imbedded in the soul never fully heal...DO THEY????

Unfortunately abused women go on taking these beatings from thugs until one day they realize there is no love there at all and have him put in jail where he belongs. The pic says a thousand words that I can not embellish upon.
That picture tears at my heart, Linda. And there are far too many like it, all over this world.

You have painted a picture of a disturbed man, so well..The violence is result of internal inharmony..WEll expressed..
Linda...yet again very realistic write from you...I cannot stop crying upon reading this...why is this happenning all the time...why are the males beating the females...I dont know...may be they try to show their superiority...If they think they can gain superior by beating woman then they are dead wrong...woman should be loved much and they should never be beaten...after all women are our mother...love n luck....BHUWAN
