I love Seagulls! Their noisy chatter never ceases to lift my spirits!

Poem Artwork

You mock me from your salty perch
On the jagged rocks by the shore.
While morning sun warms my face
As I stroll on the ocean floor!

Seagull, how I envy you!
You are wise and strong and free,
With silent wings you soar on high,
Catching only the fairest breeze!

Would that I could be like you!
And float above my fears,
Escape into a salty breeze
Whenever trouble nears!

But alas! It wasn’t written so,
This is my destiny,
So I will let my spirit fly
With you above the sea!

Enchanting poem!

I think my favorite seagull is the laughing gull. I always end up laughing along.
Blessings,
Christine
