Whispers and Dreams

Starry eyed the princess gazes as she dreams,

Of foreign lands and sailing on the high seas.

Through the castle window flows the gentle breeze,

She hears a whisper sent  her to tease

Hoping to start some of her own memories.

She hears a whisper sent  her to tease,

"Open your heart, princess, come unto me."

The desire to leave overwhelms her soul.

Thoughts running through her mind won't let go.

Silent tears fill her dreamy eyes.

Thoughts running through her mind won't let go,

Are these thoughts real or merely just lies.

Silent tears fill her dreamy eyes,

Despair overwhelms her being.

Scanning the sea and azure skies.

Despair overwhelms her being,

Keeping her heart and soul from really feeling.

The whisper says softly, "Come to me."

The castle sits high on a mountain top,

Circling in her mind will it ever stop.
