Reflection in My Eyes

I want you to see yourself

reflected in my eyes

I want to kiss

away all of your sighs

I want you near me,

So I can feel your touch

I want you to always see my smile

When you walk through the door

I want to share all

your heartaches,

replace them with my love

I want you to hold me close

  so I can feel your heart beat

I want to taste the

essence that is only you

savor it to memory

I want to hear the

sound of your voice

seep in its softness

I want to touch you

 feel your strength

I want to hear your laughter

 watch as your eyes smile

I want to grow old with you

I was drowning in a dark sea

of loneliness

Afraid of my own shadow

I stumbled and fell

Soon we were swimming side by side

Our hearts were rescued from the sea

You walked into my life

 slowly repairing my

saddened and broken heart

I love you because you

look at me and see who

I really am
