"Why would you do this to me"

Poem Artwork

Clock no longer ticking

She had me - never her

Told her goodbye; told

me, "Il y a longtemps

que je t'aime!" (I've loved

you so long); said to her

"You're just wasting your

time!" "Why would you do

this to me" - she cried!

"I still need you!" "Don't

want to hear anymore of

your words," I said as I

stood in front of her and

tore up all of our love letters

and pictures - for affect I

set them on fire; I laughed

real hard; tears ran down

her face - "Quit your balling!"

"Give me back the engagement

ring!" Now I began to see her

resentment - took off the ring

and threw it at me; I said drop

dead and grabbed my things

And just before I left determined

She said one last thing, "I'll

never love anyone else; later

became a recluse - so be it!

oh goodness...In reality that is a horrible break up of emotional turmoil
I will be bold to say "Love is Gone" perhaps had no love to start
Love does not have such hostility...does it? Of course not...
Your Story Poem reads like a live journal, realistic & pain into the depths of hurting hearts....

Lance,
Any breakup is sad, some are necessary, some shouldn't happen. Emotional and heart breaking write, my friend.

Hello Robert,

"Love is Gone" seems there wasn't any love at all from the start.
The transition from being "one" into a division of two is very strongly portrayed, though revealing immaturity from the players here.
Break-ups need not be "ugly" -it is painful, but graceful exits can be done. Final words "so be it" concludes it with: hurt for hurt.
A very good study,
Cynthia

That has to be one of the worst things...the pain of breaking up.

Well, this breakup didn't go so good. To be in love so much as to get engaged. What did she do wrong? Good emotional write. Liz
