Worlds Apart

There is a world between us,
One we cannot breech,
Yet when I hear you speak,
My knees grow weak,

The softness of your voice,
Reaches deep inside of me,
I often wonder,
How the future would be-

Could we rise on frosty mornings,
And kiss with rosy lips,
Tugging you from our warm bed,
Whispering in your ear;
“Wake up sleepy-head!”

I wonder if you could hold my hand,
As we take our morning walk,
It wouldn’t matter if we were silent,
Though I know you like to talk…

I like to listen to the way,
Your voice rises up and down,
I like to watch you smile,
And I love it when you frown…

I’ve seen you at your best,
And watched you at your worse,
I can’t help but smile,
When you try to curse…

You always get it backwards,
And it doesn’t make much sense,
I wonder if I have the courage,
To just take a chance…

Tomorrow is too far away,
I can’t wait another day,
I love you baby,
I can’t help but wish,
There was only some way,

We could join our worlds,
And be with each other today…

Are you reading into my mind?
Excellent poem and describes many feelings I have felt for a person I met on Yahoo. He lives in India. I have known him several years.
Keep on expressing, you do it so well!
We will have to talk one day.

Yes, I can relate. The photo also feels very cold and distant. You've summed it up perfectly.

Love from distance is painful at times but you accept that tht pain in order to continue the love.
Knows the feeling for sure here.

Stunning visual - so sharply penetrating and an appropriate depiction of your words, which are also "blue" but highly observational and far-seeing. It's like the eyes are straining to see and capture anything of the beloved in the very stratasphere while they are yet apart. Intensely longing, and yet so humbly grateful too for what already has been. A true and devoted love portrayed here, that notices everything and loves especially the "small" things which may go unnoticed to a casual acquaintance. A very perceptive and captivating write, thank you. Kate xx

Oh...I love this one. So loving and true; the best part is the "watched you at your worst". Isn't that the best? To know someone when their beneath playing their part and still love them. Nicely done.

"Courage to take a chance." That line says it all. Love the romantic images.

"The softness of your voice,
Reaches deep inside of me,
I often wonder,
How the future would be"

Sounds like a wonderful dream. I love the longing created here.
