Kate, Kate, Kate…
So many will bemoan your fate,
It’s been so fun,
But you better run,
For the highest hills you can,
The poets are chasing you,
On nimble feet,
Wanting to bury you in the sand!
They are coming in every direction,
Trying to give you an infection,
That will turn you many shades of green,
No my dear, don’t try to scream,
There really is no need!
You’ve fed upon our joys and fears,
And now we won’t listen to your tears!
We want our sweet and lovely Kate back,
So we tied you to this rack!
I wove a special feather in your hair,
Its tip was rather sharp-
(But I really didn’t care…)
Turning you into something I rather see,
One of my beautiful and lovely trees!
So if it’s this Kate you want to see,
Come into my forest,
And pay homage to what a great serial killer,
Kate used to be!

as others have said, that's a wonderful way to end serial killer Kate!
Great way to end her serial killing career, Retta. BTW, this is a most fitting tree for our murderous lady. My guess is it's a maple of some variety. The heavy moss growth and gnarled appearance gives it character.
Best regards,
Leland
Oh, you've been too nice to her, but I was too.

I always wanted to be a tree,
Now I can truly be so free!
Love the photo and the write. The feather was a great addition :-) In celebration I'll have to do some tree poetry soon. I guess all that running was why I suddenly had to go back to sleep this morning and get extra rest LOL.
An alcoholic, miserly attorney reluctantly defends a black man from a false resisting arrest charge. He then discovers damaging information against the cops and two cronies, and embarks on a battle to keep himself and his client alive.
