When I see raindrops I think of people. Just wanted to share my poetic vision on raindrops symbolizing a person's life. (Most of my poems were written as a child/teen, over the years, I've edited/updated and uploaded onto AuthorsDen.) Actually I started this poem by accident, during one of my general science classes, I was trying to visually understand the lifecycle of rain, the condensation process. I ended up simplifying it by thinking of raindrops as peoples lifecycles.

Poem Artwork

Raindrops sleeping in a cloud

Breathing ocean’s vapor

Eating ocean’s salt

Growing steadily strong

With storms and winds

Bursting with love

Becoming precious gifts

From sky to earth

Nourishing grass and trees

And plants and flowers

Pouring in oceans, lakes and rivers

Celebrating life

Tap dancing on window panes

Singing with the wind

Before falling to the ground

As sunshine dries the air

And raindrops disappear

Sprinkling rainbows

Flying back to the sky

Forming new clouds

For another raindrop day :)

Beautiful! I will never look at rain in the same way again! I can see I will have to come back when I have more time. I look forward to reading more of your poetry.
