I recall the rapture that overcame me
Those many years ago
I still have it etched in my soul
Because you touched me
And now I felt the need to
Restore and
Relive that moment.

It came to me
With perfect clarity--
Our embrace
It was Heaven
and Love
and Sweetness
all wrapped into a
Moment when my
Heart stood still.

I sensed every beat of
Your precious heart
The tenderness of
Your breath upon my face
The love that pulled me
in to your bosom.

I could never in this life
find but a fraction of the love that came
from your soul.
What comfort
What ecstacy
What peace.

Now I am driven to
immerse my sensibilities
and my entire being
into that glorious place
where my soul met its
counterpart and I became
One with you.
