A fan of author Christa Nardi’s amateur sleuth mysteries for their painstaking, crime-solving realism and true -to-life daily routines, ‘The Itch of Greed’ rounds all the bases.
Izzie DiSante is a well-rounded protagonist, running the business side of Cenare, her family’s Italian restaurant. Her relationship with private detective, Henry Jacobs, and her journalistic sticktoitiveness for solving crimes is pragmatic. All of this is a testament to the writer who clearly has a handle on investigative techniques.
Nardi’s effective, signature trademark of stumping the reader by introducing a number of suspects with a motive for murder, adds to the element of suspense to the very end.
I highly recommend Book 6 for its ongoing intrigue and down-to-earth, likeable characters.
