The fallout from a meteor shower destroys the world’s infrastructure and decimates its population. Kyle Stafford and his teen-aged daughter, Melissa, journey many miles on foot to reach the army base of Haven Point, hoping to find safety in numbers and answers for what happened.
With stops along the way, making lifelong friends and encountering both good and bad experiences pertaining to humankind, an optimistic outlook prevails. Building the world from the ground up, one community at a time with running water and basic amenities, has a way of making people cooperate for the common good of all.
Amidst the surrounding devastation, P.S. Winn’s story realistically conveys earth-shattering loss, heartache, and resilience.

The novel that I'm writing and serializing here that you are reading, thank you so much, covers a similar theme. Rebuilding after a major cataclysm.
While you mention the human side of the rebuilding quite well, I would be interested in the validity of the destroyed infrastructure and rebuilding of it. It would all depend upon the devastation created by the "meteor shower." In other words, has Winn written a fantasy with believable characters or a believable scenario with believable characters?
