People who live in the vicinity of our Western national parks may have the information I need.
My wife and I have traveled extensively throughout our Western national parks, and we have always vacationed there in September. I am seeking information from people who live in the vicinity of these national parks to provide information about seeing them in May. I long to see the rushing waters and waterfalls from the snow melt and the springtime flowers in full bloom. This may also be a better time to see the animals. It may be that some of the roads through the parks are still closed in May. We prefer to not travel during the congested months of June, July, and August. Please advise as to which parks are accessible in May and out-of-the-way places we could visit that may not be provided by AAA tour books. We have seen most of the parks and some a second time. All, however, would be worth seeing again but particularly during a different season of the year.
