Because of AuthorsDen, I recently received a message from the distant past.
In 1965-66, I served with the 1st Infantry Division in Di An, Vietnam. During my tour of duty I worked with a man named Sgt. Azeltine. Recently, I received an email from his daughter. She had read the final chapter to my book which was about my tour of duty. In that chapter, I had cited her father's name, so she emailed me, letting me know how proud her father would have been, knowing his name was mentioned in a book. I served with Sgt. Azeltine forty years ago; however, he has since passed due to prostate cancer. Since his daughter's initial contact through AuthorsDen, we have continued to correspond on a regular basis. It is like hearing from a long lost relative or friend. I say all this to simply let others know that AuthorsDen can sometimes be instrumental in helping people contact one another when the possibility of doing so seems almost hopeless. Thank you AuthorsDen. You have played an active role in brightening my life.
