Our dear friend and fellow author Richard Cederberg left me the most beautiful gift as part of his kind review to my poem "Study with private fruit". This gift came with the colours of a gorgeous poem by Portuguese author Nuno Júdice, which Richard posted in the original version... and I can't help but sharing with you all, now, translated (not too badly, I hope...) into English.

RECIPE FOR MAKING THE COLOR BLUE
If you want to make blue,
take a piece of sky and put it in a big pan,
that you can place on the horizon’s fire;
then, stir the blue with some red
leftover of dawn, till it is diluted;
pour it all into a basin, very clean,
so none of the afternoon’s impurities will remain.
Finally, sieve the remnants of gold in
mid-day’s sand, till the colour sticks to the bottom of metal.
If you wish, so colours will not come undone
with time, drop, within the liquid, a burnt pit of peach.
You will watch it dissolve, without a sign that you
have ever put it there; and not even the black of the ashes
will leave a tad of ochre upon the golden surface.
You may, then, lift the colour to your eyes
and compare it with the genuine blue.
Both colours will appear as similar, and
you will not be able to tell them apart.
Thus have I done – I, Ibrahim ben Judah Ibn Haim,

to anyone who may want, someday, to emulate the sky.
