Excerpt from Broken River

Is there value in posting excerpts?

I just added a short short story to my AD portfolio. It is a snippet about the capture of the Mississippi River by the Achafalaya as a result of a giant earthquake on the New Madrid. This piece is taken from my upcoming book.

I put it here for a couple of reasons. One is that it might be of interest to some who are concerned about the ongoing expectations of the Mississippi being rerouted. The other is to see if anyone has comments on the content or writing style.

What the heck. If you don't flaunt it, no one knows you got it.
