Book contracts, deadlines, marketing and MARKETING Well for all of us in the land of wanting a book contract, it can be a carrot in front of the Jackass. Three weeks ago I was able to land a contract. It is a small publisher, but a publisher indeed.
Now, in order to meet their neeeds, i am re-re-rewriting my book.
The company is very small and limited in what they can give for PR. PR, now that is a loaded statement-noun (s). I do not even know who to go out and get a public relations person. I have no idea how to get, sign or even work a deal allowing me to sell in a store.
My habds shake as I write this. My head swims int he sea of nervousness. Funny, as an artist I thought getting a contract would be the prize. Now I see that the real task is navigating the sea of negotiations.
Once again, excuse the typos. I am saving proper grammer for my final draft.
