As an individual case we are weak and brittle. However, if we realize our common unity in parental abduction, we are a formidable force. This is lesson I have learned from my time in the Army. We have strength in numbers! Find our common bond and push forward. Once we pass one law and return one child, we can build on that and do more.
As an individual case we are weak and brittle. However, if we realize our common unity in parental abduction, we are a formidable force. This is lesson I have learned from my time in the Army. We have strength in numbers! Find our common bond and push forward. Once we pass one law and return one child, we can build on that and do more.
Think about it. I am not trying to swing you in one political party or another. The fact is, parental abduction transcends parties and nation states. Liberal, Dem, Republican (US) or Labor Party and Conservative (UK), they mean nothing! We can be a force that unifies and shows our leaders and judges that there MUST BE CHANGE. To better quote, and I do apologize if it is not a word by word quote, but in the words of President Obama, "I will sign any Health Bill if it comes across my desk. We can build upon that and refine it later". That works for us too. Let's get the Synclair-Cannon Act on the books as a federal law. It's a start and we can then build and refine from there.
Let's make law enforcement have to respond to parental abduction calls like they had to in the 1980's with domestic violence. They must know that agency policy and procedures must be amended to cover state laws in family kidnappings or face the same penalties as they did with ignoring domestic violence by not arresting. Ignorance of the law is no excuse, nor is failing to uphold it or to fill out the NCIC section that covers parental abduction.
People, friends we can take our current and recent events and use the momentum to FORCE CHANGE.
