I love the way words smell
and feel in my pen;
the way they spill in a rush
onto the page
in rhythmic patterns
and rhyme (if I want).
It's an addiction I don't ever
want to be cured of -
GOD, I love writing!

Found out yesterday that I will be a published author!  Such exciting news, the realization of a dream, a book with MY name on it!  I've got the manuscript ready to go, just have to send it.

This will be a book of poetry.  Storm Poetry.  The title will be "StormSpinner."

There is a reason behind this.  I am a stormphobic.  I hate storms with a purple passion; whenever severe weather threatens, I turn absolutely chicken (especially since there are no underground shelters where I live).  BUT:  storms have infused my words with something greater than I understand, and so, I write...and in doing so, am learning to live with my fear.  Hopefully, I will overcome it and help others to do the same.
