Well pull a page out of my past and see how it feels. LOL.
I walked into my local Best Buy today, don't know why. I know my birthday is around the corner..okay its not, its out on the street..no no its in the middle somewhere..its on Thursday..normally I don't announce it..not at all..ever since girls pretended to be older- to meet older men.. back then it was cool.. but then I aged and can't understand what the fuss was about..I mean..Men..you date one, and you may have just dated them all. Why? because have you noticed that they all think the same? uh huh..except gay men, who are very caring, sensitive creatures and one of them would never be caught dead wearing or thinking an identical thought, (unless it inolved sex)as another man.Hmm..anyway, I walked into Best Buy today, and my son was with me, so I didn't try the "Speaker Test" , where I pop in my "Pink" CD and blast "Mizunderstood" through the store, and then repeatedly on several systems..just to see if there really are salespeople. Usually I find some default with the speakers or ask potent questions that the staff can't answer..I'm good at that. I'm in Technology Sales, so I ask a lot of questions. Sometimes it pertains to the conversation at hand..like now. Good try Donna, but you changed the story again..LOL..So THIS IS A BLOG? I thought it was something illegal, like a weapon, because all the journalists that were in Iraq, carried their dreaded "BLOGS", whipping them out at random..reporting LIVE..So I thought it was a secret defense weapon..until

The war had to be boring at that point if Geraldo is News.. you know what I'm saying? ..He actually reported the location of Americans in Iraq during the war.. I mean c'mon..EVERYONE in the world knew where we were, like it was a SECRET..Just took a little longer for Hussein and his sons to believe it..I envision now, that wherever they are, Hussein & his sons listen to Cher's CD where she asks 'Do you Believe in life after..." and her song for Hussein.."This is a song for the lonely.."..So what the hell does this have to do with Best Buy? Not a freaking thing..but now that Im in that store,it became immediately evident there was something wrong, mostly with me, because I know the first names of the employees.Nope I don't mean just reading their tags, I already did that once- thats how I knew their names..Im not Psychic (well not yet anyway). But when I start talking to Darren Smith (the PC IT guy), about other employees like Alan, Rob & Bonnie - and know others by name that departed.. plus one idiot cashier who rang me up for $60 in DVDs-Recordable when I dont have a DVD recorder..(her name was Grace)by the way, I realized that I was addicted to that store..and its not like I go there constantly- I do not..I just have a memory (RAM) for inane things.. While I was shopping with my son, one of the employees I didn't know (lucky him) is stopped by a black gentleman, head shaved, with 2 women that I didnt recognize- and I said to my son- I KNOW that guy..to which my son unsurprised, replied - 'Mom you know everyone in the store' - and Im like no silly- this is the customer..My son looked and dropped his jaw..the young girl behind the customer had the same exact shorts on as my son..which were army fatigued shorts - so now my son thought he was Gay- because he thought I bought him womens pants, and encouraged me to go talk to the 'guy' I thought I knew..
Funny Thing was - I recognized his voice/face- couldn't remember his name..LMAO..what does that tell you about what I think about men? Among other things..It was interesting..so I finally see him again- and before I could even finish asking- Did you work at Nabanco? he looked straight at me- Donna? is that you? LOL- It had been at least 8 yrs since we worked together-we worked in technical support, and he was one of the funniest and most honest guys there was..I still never remembered his name - we wrapped up the conversation and he left..Meanwhile I was looking to buy a Tablet Notebook..my "friend" Rob came over to answer questions.. about it- he had been my "guru" when I had bought my PC there- and was on his 4th pc at the time- anyway- I began asking functionality questions this time around - not configurative - and damned if he didn't know them..bummed me out.. after all this was my guru..my son was shocked.. then I wanted to purchase a Nomad mp3 player.. I have wanted one-ever since they came out- the portable music players without the cd skipping..OH the scheming and the dreaming that went into that plan, when I used to work out at the gym..(I used the cd player every day as I worked out) it helped me focus..so now here was my "friend" Darren helping me with it..Darren was surprised I knew the names of the Tech staff.. lol Not why you think at all..{my son had downloaded kazaaa, at the height of the benjamin worm virus, and infected my files} for which I payed a handsome sum and learned the name of every tech who touched my pc, because they had to do it twice..believe me you don't want someone who knows "tech" yelling at you, because the "tech" work I was charged for was done wrong and not properly...Anyway, Darren, brave soul that he was, impressed me when he said he knew IT systems and had done the whole Queens Hospital program...I asked him a couple more questions (surprised?) LOL and now I have him submitting his resume for employment as a systems manager with my (daytime) company..we'll see how that goes.. we are doing system upgrades next month...anyway when I was done choosing the product- I applied for a Best Buy card & they approved me for a 4figure amount..then I knew something Definitely was wrong or sales were slow..only a fiend would issue me MORE money to spend in a store, where I already knew staff by name..and don't ask me about how I know Bonnie..the returns supervisor...
Oh yeah..happy Birthday to Mac- its Jim's birthday tomorrow..he is an author here, you will find him on the "Platinum" poetry ,which we went mano a mano, risking conformity and threw hip hop some curves..yea baby yea, I control the curves..LOL and lastly I want to mention Ken..every Barbie has one, *grins* and now so do I =)..I'm not going into detail about anything here..he occupies a vacated space and fills it wonderfully. This is just one of those things that happens when you aren't looking and BAM! Cupid lives..
and NOW about Plug n Pay..Grrrrr been a gritty week at work - usually the summer is slow - June was a good month for my sales.. took some time off July4th.. I have 2 big deals I have been working on..one is a large Canadian Company who is going to market to us $2million/month,in 12months.WOW. Serious and I have been involved with this- since Nov.02- Long time nailing it down..#2Deal- involves a software company and their CEO is a former VP from Dell..WOW. spoken with him- his President and marketing VP & just working out the details.. Lots is cooking in their pot..glad I am involved.. they like me.. they really like me..and thanks to Richard at E-classifieds Online..giving me my final breakdown of the week - as we went through the software interface..I got it Rich, okay.. its your customers who can't get with your delusional directions..
OH and watch "Last Comic Standing" this week if you can..Within the first 20 minutes I was crying so hard from laughter..this is the best reality show on TV..what happens when comedians are left to their own devices and out do each other..the funniest underhanded anything I've ever seen..Peace and Love..I know that is so Sixties.. but hey we're wearing bell bottoms again..and Pink-U Rock.
