If we start helping each other and get our minds off ourselves life will present treasures. I suppose none of us have been unaffected by this financial crisis. I know it is on everyones mind, no matter how much I try to avoid the conversation of this economic mess someone always brings it up. Its the same theme, same talk over and over. No one is thinking positive, they are all miserable and want you to participate in this misery. You can only stay in this environment for so long because eventually the negativity will wear on your health and mindset and that is a road to disaster.
You have to make a change. If you continue to wait and wallow in a state of stagnation and immobility your struggles will only get worse. Believe me the old model of making a living is not the answer for now; and if you disagree then you've blinded yourself to whats going on around you. I worked for 25 years in corporate America and it was beneficial for a while but now we see it was anchored on lies and deception. I was like many of you, herded around the landscape like sheep; following the masses and believing everything the shepard said.
A friend of mine wrote a newsletter relating to where we are now as a society; and if you let it sink in you will see that many of us have fallen prey to this analogy.
Sheep need farmers. They're pretty helpless creatures. Humans can be pretty helpless creatures too. Of course the difference between us and sheep is that we have a brain. We have the ability to be something different than just sheep in a pen. But it takes guts to go against the expected path of conforming to the rules of the flock. It probably means ridicule, and judgment, and rejection. Hmmm.
I suppose Jesus understood what that felt like, don't you think? But He knew there was no other way. He tried relentlessly to get the people to understand; to get them out of the pen. A few did. A small band of brothers. A rag tag group of free rangers. They even struggled to get it. But they were different. They hung in there. Jesus, also a free range shepherd, tapped them on the shoulder and said, "Follow Me. I will make you fishers of men. I will teach you how to be free range shepherds. I will teach you how to walk with God. And I will teach you how to bring others along on this journey. But you must leave your ideas behind and follow me. You must die to your agendas, your rules, and your traditions, and your selfish and prideful ways, and follow
me.3

Those last few lines impacted me as a father. Why? Because I was at a crossroads in my life. I am a man of faith and i believe in following the lord but during these last few years the struggles and emotions have tested me. But if you stay the course and leave yourself open to new possiblities they will appear.
Today I am sharing with you my journey with my faith and with the reality of staying afloat in these economic times. Being a Father now means opening your mind, cleansing yourself of selfish and prideful ways and begin thinking against the rules of the flock. When I did this within a weeks time a friend called and asked me two questions: do you want to start working with others who care about you; want to see you do well and will support and encourage you through ups and downs in business? And the second question was, "Do you want to have a business that will help people physically and financially? My answer of course was yes! Until he told me it was in Network Marketing. But seeing that the job market was not improving and the ability to borrow money was at a standstill I let down my pride, my perception and beliefs and decided to take the chance. I have been doing this for 4 months and i have no regrets or delusions about where my life is going now. I work with people from all walks of life; millionaires, NFL players, Doctors, Moms and Dads who all have said this has come at the right time. You all have a decision to make whether to move forward or backwards. I know its difficult; there is much fear and apprehension out there; but who cares. Get off the couch, strengthen your faith, be a leader, take care of your family and join with me to make a better life for the years ahead.
Those who hope in the Lord
