The True Nature of Dreams Explained.

The True Nature of Dreams Explained.
OK, wonder no more. As I journey through life I am most thankful for the revelations that come my way- leaving me without the questions that bother so many. Such is the case with dreams. What are they? What do they mean? Anything?
My mother passed away in 2002. My father passed away in 2009. I have spent much time coping with their loss. Until very recently my brothers and I had not had any dreaming experience of our parents since they left this earthly life. But recently that changed. How shocked my brother and I were to discover we had both just now started to dream of our parents.
My brother’s dream was of Mom, mine was of Dad. These dreams certainly are like movies or DVDs- we watch them play out- yet we are there playing our part.
In my brother’s dream he and Mom were in a Chinese restaurant. They had finished their meal, but they were stuck there because no waiter or waitress was bringing the check. It got real boring. They couldn’t believe they had been just left there like that. They couldn’t seem to get anyone’s attention. The meal had been fine, but this waiting was ruining the whole evening. That’s it, dream over.
In my dream I was outside with Dad, and he suggested we play stick ball. My Dad and I used to walk a lot, but no athletic sports. This stick ball idea surprised me. I didn’t even know what it was. My Dad gets out a long stick that looked like a broom handle. There is some little ball that looked like it could have come from an old gum machine. Sure enough Dad whacks that ball and it was like an awesome golf shot- that ball is gone. That’s it, dream over.
What does all this mean?
The answer came to me so powerfully, as if I could hear it explained by some great intelligence. The key is revealed by the special features found on DVDs. The dreams did not lead to anything, they didn’t go anywhere. It should be obvious. Dreams are the deleted scenes that didn’t make the director’s cut in the production of our lives.
Well, anyway, that is what my dreams are. I’m heading off to bed now. This should be fun.
