Saints,Film Stars, Shoes

Yesterday was the feast of Sts Peter and Paul a reminder to
many that school holidays are about to commence.In Scotland
the summer holidays start early but then the classes resume
in mid August.September, considered an Autumn month there. In
England schools break up well into Summer and start up again
in September.Peter and Paul, two very influencial saints in
the heavenly role call with numerous churches named after
them throughout the world.My own sister in laws mother
married in one.
Yesterday for those of us in advancing middle age and
beyond was also the anniversay of the fatal car crash in
Louisianna in 1967 that claimed the life of screen idol Jane
Mansfield famous for a number of films including" the
Sheriff of Fractured Jaw" as well as her physique and a
love of pet chiuauas .By some awful coincidence it was also
the day in 1968 when Sharon Tate ,star of the" Beverly
Hill billies" and wife of Roman Polanski was brutally
murdered by the now infamous
Charles Manson and co.Jane and Sharon two people who once
so pleasantly graced both film and TV screens nearly fifty
years ago.Our own lives brightened as their contemporaries.
.While passing a rather trendy -even teenaged- clothes
shop I saw a sign which said All Shoes Only £20. On closer
inspection I saw that they included a pair of rather nice
blue suede shoes. its a long time since I bought new shoes
and am I really too old to buy a pair of blue suede shoes
from a teenage shop? I was after all only a baby when
Elvis sang about them.
As some of you may know I recently converted my CIA novel
into kindle but due to problems with formatting and a PDF
upload I have had to withdraw it. The novel converted was
a total mess but then when was self publishing easy?I may
have to pay a professional to get it exactly right given my
limited IT skills.
The sun was shining bright and early as I rose at seven and
felt full of inspiration , enough to start on another
chapter of my current book. By seven thirty I had
annoyingly run out of paper.The road to Hell is always paved..........
