Summer in the city and more of it

Leeds was gray but fresh and still warm as I walked through
its streets, en route to an appointment,this morning.How
pleasant such a mundane unprepared daily event can be,
thought I ,as I ate a full and hearty breakfast in the mall of
Leeds train station next door to some agency or other thats
door was wide open and a large sign in front of it read "Free
coffee milk shake here" and right enough blocking the door
was a long unmanned stall with jugs and filtered coffee.I
didnt quite get what it was all about,after all theres no
such thing as a free meal,or milk shake, I suppose. Any
ideas ?answers on an email please.
I managed to write a couple more pages of my new novel,just
based on characters,clothes and atmosphere that passed
through.Constructive , I hate sitting in cafes without
jotting down some thoughts or vocab. that might be useful.
The city now busy as mothers try to keep their children
happy during the school holidays. At the food fair in Leeds
on Sunday a somewhat bizarre but ambitious array of stalls
sold zebra and kangeroo burgers.They smelt nice but..
On looking through the Authors Den site I could not help
but wish that Amazon could copy some of their ideas ie a
show case of platinum and gold members on their website
home page .Surely it would be in their interest
financially to give indie authors more up front publicity
rather than them struggle in many ways to market their
books.Im sure Amazon could select or review and give a high
degree of publicity to fifty of their best monthly new indie
books.As we are all aware and is illustrated on this site
there is a lot of good stuff out there and a lot of talent
behind it.
The summer enters its high stage.Summer time and the living
is easy or as the well known Scottish comedian used to sing
summer time and the bins are stinking !! Come back Bobby
Goldsborough, summer ,the first time or how about Mackenzies
Sanfrancisco?
