Monday Morning in the Cyber Cafe

I sit in a cyber cafe.My computer is not working at home.A
great handicap these days.The computer vendor states the
problem is with the broadband BT are adamant its not and
its a computer problem.Stale mate exists between the two
and I don`t want to splash out any more money till I am
certain it will be fixed.This has curbed many activities
including marketing and the added hassle of walking 30 mins
to write one email.Me ,a victim of the
literatti/glitterati life of a writer.
The bright sunshine continues and despite blue skies it
is much ,much colder with frost and even snow in some
areas.The market is in full throng next to the cyber cafe
with cheap fruit and veg on sale next to massive packets
of cakes and biscuits that are two for a pound.The
buidings next to it now sandblasted and up to let bear
the year 1863 in mosaic.Their fawn sandy colour blends
into the cloudless blue sky.Tesco supermarket who have
made a massive loss looks down from above in envy at the
profit and popularity of the market .A magnet for the
poor and penny savers.
The decades are passing quickly and it is already fifteen
years from 2000,incredible.I am back at the gym ,well
not daily but at least Iam back .It is now obvious as I
see myself in the mirror that I am now in advanced
middle age and I see a stranger in front of me.
The job I had in Sheffield finished and I have moved on.
It is again sad to see teachers in a centre of knowledge
act in a very juvenile manner in spite of their age and
mock others less fortunate.People who are loud and gobby
who despite years of education have apparantly learned
little.Has education become so mechanical.Is the secret
of what makes the world and its people go round no longer
a quest? Is the thirst for the water in the well of
knowledge and wisdom now filled up by rocks and sand?
Have us humans really advanced as far as we would like to
think?
I think it is time for a coffee in a quiet place where
the sun is shining bright.We will see what happens to my computer.
