Some of you may remember the life saver candy, colorful circular bits of flavorful delights! As a child,it was always a treat for me when I was given life savers. 

Later in life, I learned that a more meaningful definition of life saver is someone, not just candy, or something that keeps one afloat, focused, or in tune with what is really important. 

I have also learned that at some point in life, we all need a life saver, someone who can rescue or save us from making missteps that will affect our lives forever.

Using the above definition, I must say that my life saver is the time I spend daily in the presence of God in what is usually called a "Quiet Time." 

During this time, I pray, read the Bible, and I meditate on what I have read,and how I can apply it to my life and my life challenges.

I also pray for others, and I thank God for what He has already done for me, for my loved ones.

Each of us needs a life saver,someone on whom we can always depend; that life saver is Jesus, God's perfect Son!

You can easily reach out to your life saver, my life saver by doing the following:

*Getting on your knees if possible;

*Asking God to forgive you for not including Him

 in your day to day life;

*Sharing your burdens with Him, and asking for His help;

*Thanking Him for being there for you, for loved ones;

*Making it your goal to reach out to Him daily

for help, for hope! Growing and shining in the light of God's love!
