Lately, we as a country have begun to be very divisive!

I am a proud, kind-hearted, inquisitive, selfless, intelligent, Black senior, and despite all of the many negatives that have happened to me and others who look like me, here in America, I love this Country and its people, well, most of its people. I dread dealing with liars, manipulators, deceivers, and those who think and act as if they are better than every one else.
This is America, land of the free, home of the brave and we became strong and vibrant by working together, building this Country into one of the strongest, wealthiest in the free world!
Lately, we have begun being very divisive, and instead of working together for the betterment of our beloved Country, we have become enemies who divide and malign along party lines!
Republicans deride democrats, and democrats bad mouth republicans.
This bickering along party lines has gotten out of hand! Both parties seem to have forgotten America, the USA! We have given each other "black eyes" and we keep throwing punches!
What has happened to us? How did we get here?
Looking back, I have noticed that every failed civilization tumbled because of internal conflict, and we are headed in the same direction, and the only way to prevent our crashing and burning like so many other countries, is for us to come to our senses and start now to think about what is best for these United States and its people regardless of how we became citizens whether we were born and raised here in America or became citizens through naturalization; we are still Americans, and we were Americans long before we were connected to any specific party.

We must stop the bickering and infighting and begin to think about how our infighting is affecting our present and our future,and the present and future of our children and others we love!

What To Do Next?

* Examine yourself to determine if you need to make some
changes;

* Ask someone who cares for you if you have put party
before Country;

* If you are guilty of doing so, make a sincere effort to
turn things around;

* Talk to friends and neighbors about your decision to
rethink your priorities in this matter;

* Encourage them to do the same if necessary;

* Grow and shine in the light of God's love!
