Warm Holiday Wishes

It's weird how warm it's gotten.
When I was young, we would have snow as early as October here in Wisconsin. I remember keenly many years we'd even have an October blizzard. Now that global warming has really taken hold just as Al Gore said it would, we don't get snow in October. We barely had one below freezing day or night in the whole month.
Not normal for me, but the world is changing right before us.
There are now more people alive on Earth than have ever been. The world population has ballooned from 800 million at the start of the Revolutionary War that gained the USA its freedom, to now over ten times that, and it's starting to show. The weather is how this shows.
I hate to say it, but are there now too many people? I'm not advocating for anyone to die or not have a good, long and happy life. We all deserve that. But at what point does the Earth just give up on us? So many people put things so much out of balance, and when we create imbalance, Mother Nature does her best to put it all back into equilibrium, but at whose expense? I don't know. I estimate that if I live to the normal age of death of between 75-80 for someone like me, I might never live to see the answers to these questions. Recent events have shown me, however, that someone will suffer. In fact, I believe it will be many. And I am sad for them.
