Please don’t be offended, that I never say goodbye,
I’ve never liked to say it, and Ill try to tell you why.
You see to me goodbye, means the same thing as the end,
I’ve had to say it many times, and I won’t say it again.

Goodbye seems such a final word, and it’s hard for me to say,
I would rather simply tell you, “till we meet another day”.
Of course that’s just the way I feel, and maybe I am wrong,
It just seems so much easier, for me to say “so long”.

Perhaps “catch you later” is what you’ll hear from me,
I think it sounds more like we’ll meet again, don’t you see?
To you it may seem silly, but it is just the way I feel,
If you’ve never heard me say goodbye, you probably never will.


This is how I feel, and I hope you’ll understand,
I’ll always find another way to say it if I can.
Perhaps the way I look at things will change as time goes by,
But till then don’t be offended, if I never say goodbye.
