A note in a bottle drifting at sea,
With a message for someone, who will it be?
The message inside it so long locked away,
Needing more to be read, with each passing day.

How many years its been drifting around,
In wait of the current to wash it a ground.
Waiting for someone its message to read,
Someone, who is looking, someone in need.

A few times it has found its way to the beach,
Hoping that someone will see it and reach.
But then once again it’s washed out with the tide,
It’s long unread message still locked up inside.

The message inside of it, penned by the hand,
Of a lonely young man, from a far away land.
He then cast his message out to the sea,
In hope that a lonely young lady might see.

As he stands waiting for her on a far away shore,
She walks the beach looking, not knowing what for.
They long for each other, together to be.
His long unread message, still adrift in the sea.
