Inside me there are words,
I want to share from time to time,
A dear friend of mine encouraged me,
To write them down upon a line.

I’m not all that educated,
This is probably plain to see.
Simple words straight from the heart,
That’s what works best for me.

Putting feelings down on paper,
Is what we really do.
I write them down and put them here,
So that everyone can view.

I read the words of others,
That they have posted here.
Words they want to share with me,
Words of joy and fears and tears.

I seldom know just what to write,
When I leave you a review.
But you can know I liked it,
When “Nice Job” I leave for you.

I write of things I’m feeling,
I write of things I see.
I like to write them in a way,
That anyone can read.

I like my words to flow,
And I like for them to rhyme.
And though my words are simple,
They are from this heart of mine.

A family of poets,
Is what we are in here.
A group of folks that want to hear,
The words we hold so dear.
