As I look out my window dawn is breaking once again,
Inspiring the poets to do magic with their pens.
Feathered clouds on fire, in the brilliance of the sun,
Announcing to the world, that a new day has begun.
The world starts to awaken once again to a new day,
The birds are singing in the trees, as the squirrels there run and play.
The multicolored leaves of fall glow in the morning light,
And I begin to feel so small as I take in this site.
As the dawn unfolds before me I cant help but wonder why,
I would choose to stay in bed and let such beauty pass me by.
Each sunrise happens only once, one time for us to see,
Let’s take advantage of the gifts bestowed on you and me.
