To the one who taught me how to love,

To the one who kissed my tears when I was hurt,
Who along with Mom watched me roll in the dirt.
The one who always had a shoulder, on which I could cry,
The one who always had an answer when I asked why.

You are my movie partner, joke partner, food tester and more,
My shelter, provider, and protector for sure.
God couldn’t have made a better man, tried if he had,
Than the one I call my hero, the man I call my Dad.
