Well, here we go again war is immanent they say.
Why can’t someone do something to make war, just go away?
I’ve often thought of reasons why and all that I can see.
This world will always be with war as long as two men disagree.
War is fought over possessions or a line drawn in the sand.
Regardless of the reasons the end is blood on someone’s hands.
My Uncle left my Aunt behind, to do his duty off afar.
And all that came back home to her was a shinny Silver Star.
We like to blame our leaders but I don’t think that it’s fair.
For along with their decision there’s great burden they must bear.
Perhaps you won’t agree with me, and the words that here I say,
And it’s this sort of disagreement that may lead to war someday.
We wonder why we battle on some far and distant shore,
Yet we cant get along right here with the neighbors just next door.
We fight over black or white or over things that we believe,
Then we wonder why we go to war, is it ourselves we do deceive?
There is no way of thinking, to make war from this world depart,
The only cure for war will come from deep within the heart.
There is a world without war we will know some distant day,
I believe someone is coming here to show us all the way.
war is an evil that i do not like,but like so many evils,it seems like it is necessary
to attain peace...but your words say well what is in our hearts.
You said it well! Sometimes war starts over such trivial things. I have always been thankfull that I have been born and raised in a country that has had no real war in my time, yet I have fought many little private wars in my life and some of them I started. I too live in the faith that someday all wars will be ended when Christ returns.

Viet Nam took my love, family members and friends. I was also a newspaper woman in those days and saw much more come over the AP and UPI wires that no one saw in the papers because of gore. It burned the images in my mind but so has the Trade Center Towers and terrorism. I can't forget the faces and everyone I knew lost someone there and I lost friends. I know to pray for peace is a great hope but to fight for peace is our privelege. My children are my gift to tomorrow. I wish them a world full of peace with all the neighbors in other countries the same.
No one has an answer but God and he will be our hope.

one of our polititions said today, that war isnt inevitable......who do you believe and why do we believe and what do we believe, I wish I knew the answer.
