The Dream - (the poem)

Was it real or just a dream?
It’s really hard to say.
I know a change took place in me,
When it happened on that day.

We lost her in November,
Back in 1989.
I took it very hard,
Though I pretended to be fine.

Inside my heart was broken,
To never heal it seemed.
That is until that one night,
That is until the dream.

Did she really come there to me?
Or did it happen to deceive.
Some may think I’ve lost my senses
But I know what I believe.

Jack Roberts – January 16, 2003

I wrote this poem to be used as a prelude to a story I have written and posted here in the Den. I invite you all to read my story "The Dream"

That was poignant and very touching. So beautiful and majestically mysterious with a sense of knowledge. Great achievement on this poem, Jack.
