My Sister

for my big Sister


My mind is filled with memories
And so many of them you
I’m often taken to the past
To things we used to do

I truly do believe
That I’m as blessed as I can be
The Lord made many sisters
But he gave you to me

I thank him each and every day
That he chose to make you mine
And he placed a bond between us
That will stand the test of time

This bond remains between us
Though miles keep us far apart
So often you are on my mind
And forever in my heart
