Obviously I am no diplomat Does that mean I have to be a doormat?

No it doesn't and I also used this to a person putting me down Steve. I agree with Felix and it is good for you to do a rant because we love you.
Good turn of words and I think your said it too many times our natural reflex is to be the doormat and too many times we end up kissing the wrong end as you so eloqquently put it Steven. I like this one a lot.
