The genius of mankind is no match for the sheer brilliance of Nature
Isn't it wonderful That even with its roots Among the slimy marshes The lotus Can cleanse ones thoughts? Isn't it wonderful That even with its stem Firmly entrenched in the ground The rose Can lift ones spirits? Isn't it wonderful That even with the air around So dark and cold The lily Can light up ones heart? Isn't it wonderful That even with the surroundings Full of sweat and toil The jasmine Can spread its fragrance? Isn't it wonderful That even after days Of detached existence The daisy Can freshen up ones mind? And isn't is amazing That man With his "ingenious" mind Has replied with Nothing better than Detergent powder, Alcoholic spirits, Halogen lamps, Synthetic perfumes And room fresheners?
