So cute, John! I love it, and love the cat's picture, too! I never thought about the animal's feeling when looking for a name....I just try to name it something my husband can call without feeling silly.
I immediately recall the time my temporary (moving between apartments), 20 years my senior, college professor, friend would call his daughter, a Wall Street executive in her 20s still single and living with mama in Westchester while her father traveled the country to various schools teaching in archaic form of marketing. Anyway, every evening he had to call his daughter on my telephone line and talk the most god-awful baby talk to her. No wonder the poor girl couldn't find a man! I believe he called her, "Tootsie Wootsie," or a close facsimile.
