Christ is DEEP in your heart and I LOVE you for it!
This line says it all....

On this day of grieving for a friend lost in death, your beautiful words somehow brought me hope.

We have all sinned, dear friend, but the great I Am has forgiven you the moment your prayer of repententance left your lips. All of us on the den love you; we are uplifted by your words of sincere praise for your God, your family and the heartfelt reviews left that fill this readers heart with grace and love. Your loving words brought tears to my eyes as you revealed your inner being with us. A most glorious write!

This reminds me of someone looking back on a long life. None can be lived without mistakes, but most should, hopefully, be lived with enough healthy pride in the good things done to make up for this. It would be good to go to the grave with a lot of finished business and many folks owing you gratitude.

A wonderful poem containing much wisdom. "I'm sorry" is so difficult for some people to say that relationships are ruined for the lack of it. We must be cautions lest we ruin our relationship with Our Lord. All He asks is that we are repentent for our sins. To not be is to meet the devil at the end.

The intensity of the truth in this is palapable, and it reminds me alot of when my brother, who was a recovering addict, did his ninth step i believe it was, and made amends to everyone he hurt when he was using. It makes complete sense to let go and let God, and people who love you are ready and willing to forgive, as Jesus has forgiven them, He is the teacher of forgiveness- Bless you, my friend, you are a lovely lady- Michelle :)

You are a better human being than I will ever be, you can forgive and you can say sorry where many can't forgive and don't know to what, if any, to say sorry.

Joyce, this reminds me of the prodical son who is going to ask for forgiveness, but even before he asks his father lovingly forgives hom and celebrates.Do you think you can celebrate his forgivenss with him tonight?I know you said you know Jesus has forgiven you.If I was one of the people who this letter was ment for I would hug and say of course I forgive you.You were handling things the best way you knew back then. Then we would celebrate!Oh,I wish that would be true for anyone who you are asking to forgive you. Such a heartfelt and sincere poem.I wish you peace and the joy of forgiving yourself. That's the hard part I know.

How sincerely you make your amends in this poem, Joyce! Seems it's harder to forgive ourselves than it is for others to do so. Just know the most important forgiveness is from God, and you have received that.

WTG, Joyce. I am a great believer, having had a near death encounter (or two!) in saying what needs to be said upfront and to those who need to hear it. Encouragement, mainly - which I think we can be very bad at. But apologies, too, should be delivered just as soon as, yet can be the icy ground which deepens and divides the more they are delayed.
